Foreigners were net buyers of shares worth 607.6 billion won ($455.10 million) in their 18th session of buying out of the last 20 sessions. In the other two, their sales were by just small margins.
If the uptrend in the broad market were to resume, private banks stand the most to gain, with the Nifty private bank index having closed above 20-day SMA for the first time since 16th January.
"We believe regulated utilities are in a good position to expand their incremental market shares given benign competition," said Morgan Stanley s analysts Girish Achhipalia, Amit Bhinde and Pranjal Jain in a client note.
The F&O contracts of any stock enter the ban period when the open interest (OI) on it crosses 95% of the market-wide positions limits or MWPL. The ban on it is reversed only if the open interest falls below 80%.
