Winnipeg fire crews responded to two fires Monday morning, one at a home on Flora Avenue and another at a homeless encampment near the Osborne Street Bridge.
A fire broke out at a camp along the riverbank near Assiniboine Avenue around 12:23 a.m. Tuesday morning. When crews arrived they found several tents on fire. No one was hurt.
The fire was under control within about 40 minutes, and the WFPS said preliminary investigation suggests it may have been caused by sparks from a passing train.
