The latest national jobs report shows a slowing in hiring across the nation, a slowing that some attribute to inflation. But, there are other strong forces at work.
Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate fell for the eighth month in a row in October, according to new state figures, as payrolls grew but the labor force shrank amid an ongoing struggle for employers struggle to find workers.
"If employers really wanted to end the Great Resignation, they could raise wages and make their businesses a more humane place to work," says Paul Constant.
