The city of Willmar will be requesting $150,000 in grant funds from the Department of Natural Resources to fund improvements at the trail head near the Willmar Civic Center. The head is the starting point for three different trails, including the Glacial Lakes State Trail.

Willmar Mayor Marv Calvin will give the annual state of the city address at Monday's council meeting. Also on the agenda is the public hearing for the redistricting of the city's council wards and a presentation on the upcoming U.S. Highway 12 project.
