Now that public schools are reopening (just in time for summer vacation) what are officials worried about? Is it face-to-face learning? Is it in-person interactions with students? Nope, it is mass surveillance and how to let Real-Time Crime Centers (RTCC) monitor students under the guise of public safety.

MassLive reports, the decision to let the Springfield Police Department monitor students in real-time “feels tone deaf.”

WHEELING Officials behind the Woda Cooper Companies’ proposed Marsh Wheeling Lofts believe there is a healthy market for residential living in downtown Wheeling that is not at risk of being “oversaturated” by the abundance of projects that are moving forward.
Thomas Simons, senior vice president of the Woda Cooper Companies, and Charles Garvick, president of Chadan Engineering, appeared before the Wheeling Planning Commission Monday night for a site plan review of the Marsh Wheeling Lofts project.
Fell Marine Wins Safety Award

Fell Marine was the winner in the Top Gear and Equipment Manufacturer category of the National Boating Industry Safety Awards, the Sea Tow Foundation and its North American Sober Skipper Advisory Council
The
Sea Tow Foundation said Fell Marine was awarded for information on its website that educates boaters on how to install and use a man-overboard device.
“Fell Marine’s work to improve boater safety year after year proves to be an amazing experience for the entire team,” said Fell Marine spokesman William Schwarz. “Working with many different marinas, law enforcement agencies and marine safety groups has been a rewarding opportunity as we continue to work to provide better marine safety equipment for all boaters.”
