0 we now know they were contained in explosives and shrapnel packed inside a pressure cooker, a regular kitchen pressure cooker and that they were placed inside backpacks. among items partially recovered are pieces of black nylon which could be from a backpack and fragments of bbs and nails possibly contained in a pressure cooker device. this morning it was determined that both of the explosives were placed in a dark colored nylon bag or backpack. the bag would have been heavy because of the components believed to be in it. we are doing this methodically, carefully, yet with a sense of urgency. at this time, there are no claims of responsibility. the range of suspects and motives remains wide open. that s fbi special agent in charge. the fbi s also examining, watch this. this is fascinating. examining photos like this one from nbc boston affiliate whdh to see if the nylon bags might have been placed in trash bags like that one there on the sidewalk to appear less conspicuous. look
