A Catholic response to those experiencing gender dysphoria "must both affirm God-given sex and recognize the struggle of the person in front of us," Archbishop Paul S. Coakley of Oklahoma City said in a new pastoral letter.
Released on Good Shepherd Sunday, Coakley 14-page pastoral is titled "On the Unity of the Body and Soul: Accompanying Those Experiencing Gender Dysphoria."
In recognition that some of the most vulnerable people on the streets may feel forced to stay there rather than seek shelter, the San Diego Housing Commission is considering new shelter and outreach programs.
