CINCINNATI â The rehabilitation of parts of a major Cincinnati roadway will begin Friday.
Columbia Parkway between Delta Avenue and William Howard Taft Road will get a facelift including excavation, repairs and concrete pours, according to a news release from the City of Cincinnati.
Drivers should expect delays as the traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
Lane closures begin on Monday for Columbia Parkway rehab project
A six-month rehabilitation project on U.S. Route 50 between Delta Avenue and William Howard Taft Road is set to begin on Monday, according to the Cincinnati Department of Transportation and Engineering.
Officials said through traffic will be allowed as crews work on the roadway, but drivers should be prepared for various lane closures.
Crews will be working in multiple lanes through next Saturday, beginning in the far eastbound lane of Taft Road and moving toward Delta Avenue, according to a release.
Traffic control devices, such as an electronic arrow board, will be stationed ahead of the work zone, officials said, adding that Cincinnati police will also assist with directing traffic.
