What is interesting about it is lawrence created it as a result of learning more about his own family. That his parents were migrants to the north. I think from virginia, if i remember correctly. He learned about the migration by talking to them and talking to other members of his family as well as other people in his neighborhood. It intrigued him so much he wanted to capture that story, capture that history, understood all the parts to it. I want to start with this because what i will talk to you about is the stories and the history he learned. Like to talk about it because i am, in fact, the grandchild of migrants.
