Stutsman County 4-H holds Communication Arts/Project Expo Contest

Submitted photo Stutsman County 4-H held its Communication Arts/Project Expo Contest on April 25 at the NDSU Extension Stutsman County office. Eighteen 4-H’ers gathered for the day to exhibit their expo tables and/or their communication skills. There were 11 participants in the Project Expo Contest. This is a display about a project that the member has researched and/or performed, using posters, pictures and small examples carefully arranged on a card table. Wilhelm Chevrolet Buick GMC announces new employees, retirement

9 employees recently join the company. 9:59 am, Feb. 2, 2021 × Wilhelm Chevrolet Buick GMC has announced the planned retirement of one employee and the hire of several new employees. Robbin Manley plans to retire in June. Manley has been employed with the company for 35 years, joining Don Wilhelm Inc. in 1983 out of college. She and her husband, Steve, have three children. Kathy Boe has joined Wilhelm Chevrolet Buick GMC in the position of comptroller position after 23 years in accounting for Central Sales Inc. Jim Morris recently joined the finance and lease team on a part-time basis. He has over 40 years of experience working in the finance and lease auto business. Morris, a lifetime Jamestown resident, and his wife, Rita, live in Jamestown.

Jamestown City Council considers road projects

Regular meeting of the Jamestown city committees discussing future road projects in the city. Written By: Keith Norman | × The Jamestown Public Works Committee put street work in the Mill Hill area at the top of its wish list for work by the North Dakota Department of Transportation. The committee put two projects for the area on the State Transportation Improvement List. The Jamestown City Council will give final consideration to the list at its Jan. 4 meeting before submitting to the state. One project would do a major rehabilitation of Highway 52, also known as U.S. Highway 281, from the James River bridge to the area of Wilhelm Chevrolet Buick GMC. Along with rebuilding the road, sidewalks would be added to the area. The cost for that portion of the project is estimated at $3.2 million and would be split between federal and state agencies with no local costs.
