Armed robbers make off with trolley of loot in Morrisons Local raid
Police said the pair pushed a trolley of cash, cigarettes and booze out of the store before loading a car and fleeing.

Morrisons Daily on Liverpool Road was targeted by two men at around 10pm yesterday, Wednesday. The pair entered the shop and threatened staff before making off with a trolley filled with cash, cigarettes and alcohol. These goods were then loaded into a small blue car, which drove off in the direction of Hough Green Station. One of the robbers is described as being of a stocky build and was wearing all black clothing with a white North Face logo, gardening gloves and Nike 110 trainers. The second was ‘chubby’ and around 5ft11 in height and was wearing grey and black clothing with black gloves, Nike 110 trainers and a white face mask.

Cheshire Police are now appealing for information and footage from members of the public. The incident occurred at a newsagent on Victoria Road, Widnes, at about 9.15pm on Monday, March 15. Two teenage boys entered the store wearing face coverings and dark clothing. One of them brandished a hammer and demanded alcohol from a man working behind the counter. The man challenged the boys, who then fled the shop empty-handed. They ran off towards Ashley Way. Another teenage boy who was stood outside during the incident ran off in the opposite direction, towards Kingsway. He was also wearing dark clothing and a face covering.
