The Day - East Lyme announces Dean Road tree work - News from southeastern Connecticut

Published February 23. 2021 6:53PM | Updated February 23. 2021 8:14PM East Lyme  The town will close Dean Road to through traffic between Whitney and Lovers Lanes from 8:30 a.m. until about 3 p.m. on Thursday and Friday to take care of a few hazard trees. In a message, the East Lyme Public Works Department said the town and Eversource have identified a few very large hazard trees in front of 57 Dean Road, including one that dropped a large branch on the road during a windstorm. “Due to their size, the tree contractor will need a crane to safely bring them down,” the message stated. “The crane will need to be parked in the middle of Dean (Road) so we will need to close the road to thru traffic during the work.”
