PICTURED: Fly tipping. Pic: Paul King HEAPS of rubbish bags have been left near a bottle bank in Whitley in the latest instance of fly tipping in the town. The Whitley Street bottle bank area is strewn with piles of litter on the floor as well as an umbrella. Pictures show the mound of bags blocking part of the entrance to the bottle bank facilities. Reading Borough Council (RBC) signs near the site explain that fly tipping is crime which could see a maximum penalty unlimited fine and/or a custodial sentence of up to five years for those prosecuted.
