TWO FIRM favourites in the St Michael’s Hospice events calendar are set to resume in the coming weeks. The eagerly-anticipated return of the Plant Fair and Open Gardens programme will come as welcome news to hospice supporters across Herefordshire and beyond. The free entry plant fair will be held at the hospice in Bartestree on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th June. Just three weeks earlier, on Sunday, 16th May, St Michael’s launches its Open Gardens season at the beautiful Whitfield Estate near Wormbridge. Spring is a beautiful time of year, and this season we’ve even more reason to celebrate its arrival, said Lynne Carter, the hospice’s income generation, marketing & communications director.

SOME of Herefordshire biggest annual events have already fallen foul of coronavirus for a second year running, but some are still planning to go-ahead. With uncertainty over the level of restrictions this summer, despite the Government s roadmap suggestion all could be lifted by mid-June, events such as Beer on the Wye and the Bromyard Gala have all pulled plans for 2021.
Hereford Food Festival The popular Hereford Food Festival says it will go ahead later this year and have dubbed the event as its comeback. Organisers have pushed the date of the festival, held at Hereford Racecourse, back to August 28 and 29, having originally planned for June.
