Right now, Hurricane Sandy looks to become a menace to folks along the east coast. Its expected to bring high winds and heavy rain, even some snow to some areas. Now, early this morning sandy slammed into cubas a strong category 2 hurricane, packing wind of 110 miles per hour. This storm is being blamed for two deaths so far. One in jamaica and one in haiti. So, nbc meteorologist bill karins has been tracking this powerful hurricane this morning. What can you tell us . Unfortunately, the storm intensified and right now over santiago cuba got nailed in the unfortunate right quadrant at the eye of landfall. Jamaica, 75 of the island does not have power and bands over hatedty will cause life threatening flash flooding through the morning hours. By residents they were squatters, but they were some longtime squatters. They had been staying in this also tonight, baltimore firefighters injured a following that lumberyard fire last night. The cause remains under investigation. An area Jewelry Store has fallen a victim to well organized and thieves. Customers were caught in the middle. It happened in downtown frederick. Sources tell us that this was a smash and grab robbery. The three suspects walked into the Jewelry Store behind me and were armed with a handgun and a hammer. Police say very similar to a Jewelry Store heist in arlington. Unbelievable. This is the heart of downtown frederick. Three men barged into the colonial jewell rules colonial jewelers. We came out of our office. When we entered the stairwell it was overwhelming. Police say 10 employees and customers inside the store needed medical attention. They were coughing their brains out.
