The 2023 Irish Whiskey Awards, which recognizes emerging and established Irish whiskey makers, were held at the Jameson Bow Street Distillery in Dublin on November 29. The coveted Best Irish Whiskey of the Year prize was awarded to Connacht Irish Whiskey Distillery Exclusive Cask Strength.

Downtown’s The Whiskey House, which holds the Guinness World Record for Most Varieties of Whiskey, is hosting its November Whiskey Club event on Monday, November 13 at 6 p.m. The evening features Wyoming Whiskey, and one of its founders David DeFazio will be on hand to discuss the selections from the Kirby, Wyo., company. Only 25 tickets are available for advance purchase. They’re $65 and can be purchased here. Only five walk-in tickets will be available, and they are $75. The price includes a welcome cocktail, 1.5-oz. tastings of four whiskeys (Double Cask, Outryder, Single Barrel, Small Batch), and a food menu of filet sliders, house-made sausage trio board, and a charcuterie board.
