Board Votes To Replace Superintendent

3-2 vote ousts Toman
The Wetzel County Board of Education on February 11, 2021 at 6 p.m., held a Special Meeting for the discussion and action concerning the renewel of Superintendent Ed Toman’s contract. Board member Jay Yeager led the Pledge of Allegiance and Board President Brian Price gave the invocation. All board members were present.
Price called the meeting to order and made the motion to go into executive session for discussion.
The motion was seconded and unanimously approved.
The board entered executive session at 6:05 p.m. and returned at 7:27 p.m. Upon returning from executive session Board President Price made a motion to renew Superintendent Ed Toman’s contract, the motion was seconded by member Yeager. With no discussion on the motion a vote was called for with board members Price and Yeager voting in favor of the motion and members Linda Fonner, Amy Cooley, and Brian Castilo
