DETROIT The Detroit Red Wings today reassigned goaltender Kevin Boyle to the taxi squad from the American Hockey League s Grand Rapids Griffins and reassigned goaltender Kaden Fulcher to the Griffins from the taxi squad.
Boyle, 28, has appeared in nine games with Grand Rapids this season, posting a 5-2-1 record, 2.84 goals-against average and 0.886 save percentage. The netminder signed with Detroit this offseason after spending four seasons in the Anaheim Ducks organization. He played 20 games for their AHL affiliate, the San Diego Gulls, in 2019-20, posting a 9-7-2 record, 2.82 goals-against average and 0.911 save percentage. While the Spruce Kings occupy the basement of the B.C. Hockey League with a record of eight wins, 33 losses, zero ties and two overtime defeats (8-33-0-2), seven of eight Interior Conference teams qualify for the playoffs.
