"From the Mississippi Delta" is an elaborate staging of Dr. Endesha Ida Mae Holland's autobiographical drama about coming of age during the 1960s civil rights struggle. The play is at Westport Country Playhouse through Oct. 30.

The 2023 Westport Country Playhouse season will include "Dial M for Murder," "Ain't Misbehavin'," "Antigone," "School Girls; or, the African Mean Girls Play" and another show yet to be announced. The season (which will allow longer runs of each show) demonstrates a continued bold programming strategy as the playhouse continues to emerge from the difficulties of the COVID era and other recent hardships.
