SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Savannah Police Department has arrested a suspect for a deadly shooting at Jefferson Street and West Victory Drive.
According to police, 27-year-old Jack Lee Brown was arrested and charged with murder on Tuesday, May 4.
Brown is accused of shooting and killing 22-year-old Latoya Latrice Jones on Sunday, May 2. Jones was taken to the hospital by a private vehicle and later died as a result of her injuries.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - UPDATE: The victim of a shooting this weekend in Savannah has died, according to her family and the Savannah Police Department.
That victim has been identified as 22-year-old Latoya Latrice Jones. Savannah Police Department officials say the shooting occurred around 4 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Jefferson Street and West Victory Drive. They say the investigation began after Jones arrived at Memorial Health by private vehicle with serious gunshot wounds. Detectives say she was driven to the hospital immediately after being struck by gunfire.
Savannah Mayor Van Johnson was at the scene after police arrived and spoke with the victim’s family.

The city of Craig’s Economic Development Committee awarded more than $30,000 in its first round of the 2021 small business grant program Monday during its monthly meeting at city hall.
With the start of the new funding cycle, five businesses applied for funding in hopes of sprucing up city businesses, improving the aesthetics of the local businesses.
At Monday’s meeting, Bear Coal Soda Fountain, the Popular Bar, Draper Insurance, Mountain Pine Manufacturing, and Jackson’s Office Supply applied for more than $63,000 in funding for improvement projects.
