We start with new information in the deaths of two wellknown iowans. First former Hawkeye Tyler sash. The New York Times reports sash suffered from c te before he was found dead at age 27 from an accidental overdose. Cte is a degenerative brain disease linked to concussions. In an interview with the New York Times, tylers brother and mother said they know of several his 16 years playing football. He was cut by the new york giants in 2013 after his fifth known concussion. Doctors say the severity of the cte found in sashs brain was at a 2 on a 0 to 4 scale. Which they say is abnormally high for someone his age.
