Date: 5-18-2024 Time 14:55 Vehicle 1: 1987 Honda GL 1200 Driver: Kelly Dike, age 57, of North Platte, NE Location of accident: mm 120 Hwy 11 Damage: Vehicle 1 totaled Investigating officer: Binkerd 9363 Motorcycle was negotiating a curve and went off the road to the right. On scene the driver advised witnesses that the kickstand was halfway down and caught which caused him to lose control. Marks at the scene indicated that the kickstand was down around the curve sending the bike off the righthand side of the road. The vehicle then laid over on the highway when it jumped the edge to come back onto the highway. The driver was wearing a helmet and had scrapes down the center. Driver was transported to West Holt for injuries by Chambers rescue. Atkinson police department assisted with the investigation.
