Oxnard man released from hospital, arrested for allegedly stabbing wife to death OXNARD, Calif. - An Oxnard man was released from the hospital Monday afternoon and subsequently arrested in connection to the fatal stabbing of his wife on Friday. Police said it happened around 9:55 p.m. Friday night. They were dispatched to the 1100 block of West Hemlock Street where they found 27-year-old Karla Cabrera suffering from fatal stab wounds. She was transported to the hospital where she was determined to have died from her injuries. Officers said they were told Cabrera s husband had been the one who stabbed her inside her home. He was found hiding under a car in a nearby alley suffering from multiple self-inflicted stab wounds and making suicidal statements.
