A redevelopment proposal for a heritage property at 1029 Tower Rd. will get first reading by the Halifax and West Community Council Tuesday night.
The project involves repositioning what s known as the Dr. James Doull House, built in 1873.
The building will be put on a new foundation facing Tower Road. It currently faces Inglis Street.
Municipal council approved the plans to move the house and remove a newer addition on the side at a meeting in November.

Nova Scotia s Utility and Review Board has ruled in favour of a proposed commercial development in Hatchet Lake, N.S.(Hatchet Lake Plaza)
A commercial development will go ahead in Hatchet Lake, N.S., after a decision by the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board.
The UARB ruled on Friday the proposal by Hatchet Lake Plaza Limited to construct a fast food outlet and a gas bar at 1656 Prospect Rd. does reasonably comply with the planning bylaws for the area.
The Halifax and West Community Council rejected the proposal at a public hearing last September. A petition with 578 signatures opposing the project was presented at the meeting. Local residents raised concerns about groundwater contamination, noise and increased traffic.
