MIDDLETOWN Quick response by Columbus House staff and its partners allowed those sheltering at a local motel to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.
After learning the Community Health Center had extra doses due to expire last week, Columbus House, which serves people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, was notified there were 150 doses of the vaccine that would expire at the end of the day, according to John B. Brooks, chief development officer of the New Haven-based agency.
