3 local national park sites great for junior rangers and BARK rangers

Saturday, April 24 is National Junior Ranger Day and Sunday, April 25 is BARK Ranger Day this year for National Park Week.
We all powered through a long winter with limited options to get outdoors. With the nicer weather, you might be looking for a place to get outside with your kids and pets. Consider visiting some of the National Park Service sites in the tri-state that welcome dogs and have special programs for kids. Here s three local suggestions:

WILTON, CT Weir Farm in Ridgefield and Wilton has been officially designated Connecticut s first national historic park.
The bill was sponsored by U.S. Senator Chris Murphy, U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal and U.S. Representative Jim Himes and signed into law by President Donald J. Trump.
The 68-acre Weir Farm National Historical Park preserves the home, studios and grounds of the late 19th-century American artist Julian Alden Weir. The land was integral to his artistic vision and to the growth of the American Impressionism national style of painting.
