Froom, who also produced the band’s first three albums, spent 14 days in a Christchurch managed isolation quarantine (MIQ) facility after a year of being in lockdown in the United States, while Seymour did the same in Auckland after flying in from his home base in Ireland. For Finn senior, who returned from Los Angeles in September, the experience of rehearsing for three weeks together has been joyous following the isolating experience of Covid-induced restrictions. “We are revelling in our good fortune because the rest of the world is not able to do this.”
