missiles and ire strikes overnight. this is the most serious military confrontation between the enemies to date. it comes a day after president trump cancelled the iran nuclear deal. israel says iranian forces in syria fired 20 rockets at israeli military positions on the boarder with syria. israeli citizens scrambled to bomb shelters as sirens blared. israel claims four of the rockets were shot down by the iron dome missile defense system and the other 16 landed in syrian territory. fortunately no injuries were reported. israel says it retaliated with air strikes against around 50 iranian targets in syria. syrian tv broadcast pictures from damascus. israel s targets reportedly included logistics sites, intelligence centers used by forces in syria, and weapons storage sites. those include the iranian launcher that fired the missiles
