The second in the Di Bruno Bros. & Friends wine series is a Pennsylvania-produced unfiltered Rose of Carmine with the Wilson brothers at Wayvine Winery & Vineyard in Nottingham, Chester County.
Once again spearheaded by Di Bruno Bros.’ Sande Friedman, wine category manager and president of Philly Wine Cru, the Di Bruno Bottle Shop team went out for the 2020 harvest to handpick the Carmine grapes, the earliest of the harvest, themselves.
Wayvine is one of the few Pennsylvania wineries to grow the grape, which is a crossing of Cabernet Sauvignon and Carignan, then crossing that resulting grape with Merlot.
