LOWELL Selected minutes from City Council executive session meetings held since January 2022 were released in two tranches to the public following a motion made by Councilor Erik Gitschier back in August.
Lowell’s election results demonstrated the advantage of incumbency, especially when so few voters bother to cast a ballot. It also marked a setback for the aspirations of what can be generally viewed as the new breed of city politicians, who failed to win either an additional City Council or School Committee seat.
BY TUESDAY at 8 p.m., when the polls close in Lowell, the 2023 election for the City Council and School Committee races will be over, and a new era of governing in the city will begin in January 2024.
LOWELL There’s been a lot to like about Lowell for City Councilor Wayne Jenness. He moved to the city in 2005, first living in an apartment on Bolton Street in South Lowell. He met his future wife at a Lowell Spinners game, got married at the Whistler House Museum on Worthen Street and they live in a condo on Market Street right downtown.
