Updated: Dec 11, 2020 2:29 PM Commissioners to Consider CARES Reimbursement Grant   Garrett Giles The Washington County Commissioners will consider, discuss and take possible action to approve a funding agreement for a CARES PPE Reimbursement Grant in the amount of $13,800 when they meet again. The Commissioners may also approve a CED One materials request grant application for bridge repair and strengthening on E3000 Road, which crosses over the Caney River. A reconcilement report from the Washington County Election Board for the month of November may be approved by the Commissioners. From there, the Commissioners may approve a record management and preservation report from the Washington County Court Clerk for the month of November.

Out of all of the offices candidates could file for, two office seats on the Copan Public Schools Board of Education will be sought after in elections next year. According to information from the Washington County Election Board, incumbent Shane Cameron will face off against Cody Smith for the Office One seat on the Copan School Board. Voters will decide between Tony Holland and Melissa Watson who they want to sit in the Office Five seat on the Copan School Board as well.
