Metro workers on friday and today we learned this is not about a contract. Workers are very upset with a new sick policy. Metro workers are now required to request most excused absences including sick leave and get supervisor approval of at least three full schedule workdays in advance so people who will be sick on friday had to request that day yesterday in order to follow policy. Now, the union says they did not ask anyone to call out sick but they did call the policy ridiculous and asinine. Metro put a statement out yesterday saying that due to the threat of a sickout, all the supervisor will be forced to work 12 hour shifts. We are tired of the employees taking it on the chin because ramada is running around like the keystone cops changing policies and not knowing how to implement them. Metro says it received nearly 500 absent requests for friday from both bus and the rail employees and they added that they denied all of full bus and rail service on friday. Question, is a woman all
American history tv is looking at the revolutionary war in new jersey. Coming up, we retrace the steps of soldiers who fought in the battle of trenton. Mr. Siegel the battle of trenton is exceptionally of 1776ant in the time because the American Revolution was on the edge of being extinguished. Washingtons army had reached its lowest point, he was in danger of losing a lot of his troops and his enlistments. He had just lost several significant battles in manhattan and in the new york area. And had retreated across new jersey, hoping to increase the numbers of his army while passing through new jersey and the opposite happened. He lost troops. The analogy i like to use is pointhe rebellion at that was like a candle that was about to be blown out. Washington would retreat across the Delaware River and set up his forces in pennsylvania in the new town area, and its there that he developed a plan to use his army before they all went home, and to launch an attack against the german garrison

Trenton was a very important crossroads city at the time, a town of about 1000 people on the major route between philadelphia and new york city. Trenton have a lot of significance sitting on the Delaware River about 50 miles north of philadelphia. The british a
