Fred Hutch is putting out a call for interested Black and Indigenous visual artists from now until Tuesday, March 22, 2022. The Public Art and Community Dialogue program provides an opportunity for artists and the broader community to be in dialogue about solidarity and our pursuit of equity in research and healthcare.
The Fred Hutch/University of Washington Cancer Consortium made up of Fred Hutch, the UW, Seattle Children’s and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance just expanded its "catchment," or service area, to cover the entire state of Washington.
“Representation is really important; it plays a vital role in cancer prevention and research,” said Craig Dee, a member of the Navajo (Dine’) Tribe, and a community health educator with the Fred Hutch/UW Cancer Consortium’s Office of Community Outreach & Engagement.
