(KEYC) - A Waseca Junior-Senior High School Agricultural teacher is one of 38 teachers nationwide receiving a grant to grow their school’s agricultural curriculum. Savannah Zippel received The Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education Implementation Grant from Corteva Agriscience, in the amount of 5,000 dollars. The funds will aid in the purchasing of lab equipment and consumables for classes. “People don’t think of Ag as a science based focus or science based approach, but animal science is very science based. We need a lot of beakers and microscopes. So this money will help go towards that,” said Zippel.
