When Gov. Mike Dunleavy took office in 2018, the State of Alaska had spent more than $250 million on the Alaska LNG project with nothing having been built to show for it. The project did not have its federal permits, its cost of supply was uneconomic, and the now state-owned Alaska Gasline Developme.
