Two trial festivals in tents in have been postponed due to bad expected weather this weekend.
The ‘back to live’ events, which were to have tested coronavirus-proofing measures, were rained off on Friday. They had been planned on the Walibi Holland grounds in Biddinghuizen which have been specially developed in order to experiement on a safe return to mass events.
Marcel Elbertse, chair of the support group for Fieldlab Evenementen said that their hopes now rested on next weekend. ‘This is a painful decision and we hope the public, artists and funders will understand it,’ he said in a news release. ‘We know that all of the visitors, staff and artists of the Saturday event already got themselves tested yesterday…Unfortunately, we have to ask them all to do the same thing again next week to make this study a success together.’
