Wakefield s Festival of the Moon in 2019
In 2019 the venue was used to host the Festival of the Moon, which attracted 30,000 people and included performances from Cribs drummer Ross Jarman and indie rock act Public Service Broadcasting.
The new redevelopment of the site is being delivered by Wakefield Council with funding secured for the district through The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Cultural Development Fund programme.
The project will see the site transformed into a mix of creative business incubation space , alongside social and learning spaces, which will provide a regular programme of events for residents as well as independent food and drink.
