greece a week ago, but of course the creditors have withdrawn that offer, it s no longer on the table, and it s a very complicated question. so it s questionable what a no vote means. the voters going to the voting boxes probably have a different opinion on what they re voting about. but the rest of europe have tried to decline the vote about whether they want to be in the euro or not. one way we can see it and feel it not only through the headlines is through our 401(k)s, retirement funds. those took a big hit early in the week. might we see more of that? i think what the worst thing is for markets is continued uncertainty. there has been a lot of fear in europe about a sovereign default, but markets can take a default, even a sovereign default, in their stride. what they suffer much more from is continued uncertainty about which way things are going to go. as long as there is uncertainty, you don t want to invest you don t want to put your money
caucus goers is an additional problem for them. a new poll puts the mormon into question into focus. broken down by self-described born again christians, romney gets 13% of their support to gingrich s 31%. no other group supports romney less. what does it say to you? it is going to be a problem. his mormon faith in the states where there strong voting boxes. that includes not just iowa, but south carolina and there a number of states that will be important in the primary process where this is going to be a hurdle. it was one of the reasons why we initially thought that maybe mitt romney was not going to focus on iowa and was going to skip it and focus on a strong showing in new hampshire and some of these other states where there evangelicals that are a less important part of the
marine le pen talking about reaching out to the president but also, president to be, but also talking about concerns about the macron presidency as well. when we were out at the polling stations, we also saw another concerning trend, a lower-than-average turnout and also a lot of abstentions, people putting in blank papers into the voting boxes. a lot of people unhappy with both of these candidates and, remember, they turned out both of the candidates from the major parties in the first round of voting here and went for a lot of outsiders as well. finally, we are expecting macron shortly, we re expecting him once again to reach out for unity. he s got a tough job ahead of him to try to come through with some of the reforms that he is promising as well as bringing together a fractured country. this, of course, eric, is watching being watched very closely by washington.
