A pair of out-of-state owners have bought Wyoming’s iconic The Virginian Hotel in Medicine Bow for an undisclosed price, and they plan to invest in the historic property to restore and preserve it for another 113 years.
Natrona and Carbon counties could have the first National Heritage Area in Wyoming if they apply for a federal designation capitalizing on tourism potential of historic trails. But some are wary it could lead to federal encroachment on private and state lands.
