Six months ago you told cbi britain could survive outside the eu. Why are you so adamant about a meltdown if we decide to leave. We can certainly survive. The question is, how do we thrive . How do we do best . For our children and our grandchildren. That to me is what this debate is about. I think whats so unique about it is the extraordinary consensus, nine out of the ten economists, the governor of the bank of england, International Monetary fund all saying they believe we would suffer to a hit to jobs, what that means for people is lower living standards, potential lower wage, higher prices from our shops and yes, potentially a recession.
