Lagos pilgrims to tour Jordan, not Jerusalem - Punch Newspapers

Punch Newspapers Sections Victor Ayeni Published 30 April 2021 The Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission has said the  organisation plans to tour Jordan for pilgrimage this year, instead of Jerusalem which has been the historic land for many Christian pilgrims. This was disclosed by the NCPC’s Director of Operations, Rev. Amos Yohanna, on Thursday at the Chapel of Christ the Light, Ikeja, during the Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board stakeholders’ meeting. Yohanna explained that the change in destination was as a result of stringent regulations by the Israel government due to high level of COVID-19 in the country. This, he noted, would exclude many Nigerian Christians from touring Jerusalem.
