Posting a video of him travelling in a bullet train from his handle on X, Patel wrote, “With the work on Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project, inspired by Japnese technology and standards, going on in full speed, here we are traveling to Yokohama from Tokyo by Bullet Train today.”
Under Patel's leadership, the delegation will hold one-on-one meetings with leading industrialists and governors of different provinces in Japan for the promotion of the summit. The state will also organise a roadshow for the purpose.

The Indian government is in talks with Tesla to establish a manufacturing facility in India, with the state of Gujarat expressing interest. Gujarat s Additional Chief Secretary stated that they are in touch with potential investors and will reach out to Tesla with the support of the central government. Tesla s CEO, Elon Musk, met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier this year, and the company is looking to source components worth $1.9 billion from India.
