Sturgis Titans Drop Two Games at Vets Classic Tourney

RAPID CITY, S.D. The Sturgis Titans won their first two games at the Veterans Classic baseball tournament on Thursday but stumbled a bit on day two, losing back-to-back games via the eight-run rule.
Cheyenne Post 6 crushed the Titans 16-1 in game one and Alliance, Neb. downed Sturgis by a score of 12-3 in their second loss of the day.
Cheyenne held the Titans to just one hit, an RBI single by David Anderson. Post 6 put up 10 runs in the second inning and scored six more runs in the third, including a three-run home run by Cheyenne slugger Zack Costopoulos. Ben Bohlmann got the win for Cheyenne, striking out six Titans and giving up one run and one hit.
