Luxembourg contemporary music ensemble United Instruments of Lucilin (photo Alfonso Salgueiro) performing in situ a programme inspired by non-archetypal representations of the devil in contemporary art.
Inspired by the L homme gris exhibition curated by Benjamin Bianciotto, United Instruments of Lucilin will perform a selection of contemporary music compositions including Kaija Saariaho s ‘Vent Nocturne’ for viola and electronics and its references to obscurity.
Salvatore Sciarrino’s ‘Let me die before I wake’ solo for clarinet, which evokes darkness and eternity, and the same composer’s ‘Capriccio di una corda per violino’ for solo violin are also on the programme. Kasper T. Toeplitz’s ‘Vague de pas’ for tam and electroacoustic tape completes the line-up.
