On Tuesday, the Andhra Pradesh government ordered all the hospitals in the Krishna district to set aside 50% of their beds for Coronavirus patients. Endowments Minister Velampalli Srinivas said on Tuesday that the second wave of Covid-19 is causing several problems and that hospitals must give priority in admission to COVID patients in view of an increase in the number of cases.
The minister conducted a meeting with district officials on Covid-19 cases. He also urged hospitals to keep track of how many Covid patients were admitted and how many were treated under the Arogyasri scheme on a regular basis. He advised doctors to suggest home isolation for patients with mild. He further added that There are allegations that some hospitals are treating the patients under Aarogyasri scheme and also collecting a fee from them.

Temple vandalised in Vizianagaram; opposition leader Naidu blames government

Visakhapatnam: A temple in Ramatheertham Hill near Nellimarla in Vizianagaram was district was vandalised by some unknown persons leading to angry protests by several groups.
Activists belonging to Bharatiya Janata Party and its ally Jana Sena headed by Pawan Kalyan slammed the government over the attack on the temple.
The temple belonging to Lord Ram was reportedly vandalised on Sunday night. Police sources said they had launched search to track down the culprits.
The TDP, BJP and Jana Sena have organised rallies separately to protest against the incident coinciding with the visit of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to Vizianagaram to launch a housing programme for the poor.

VIZIANAGARAM: Unidentified miscreants vandalised an idol of Lord Rama atop the 400-year old Ramatheertham temple in Nellimarla mandal, close to Vizianagaram, on Tuesday. Endowments Department regional joint commissioner D Bhramaramba has been appointed as the investigating officer to probe into the Ramatheertham idol desecration case on Wednesday.
This incident took place ahead of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s tour in Vizianagaram on Wednesday for the house site distribution scheme.
