A children’s author from Gorey is one of the driving forces behind a campaign which seeks to help young Irish readers discover more Irish books. Eve McDonnell and a group of her fellow authors set up the Discover Irish Children’s Books campaign earlier this year after one of their members noted how few Irish writers were featuring in the best sellers list.
