India could soon reopen its doors for foreign tourists from countries where Covid situation is under control, by following all required health protocols, reports Saurabh Sinha for TOI. Top government officials say inter-ministerial talks are currently on for a calibrated resumption of tourist visas on a country-specific basis.

Just 11 of the 61 nations who have started vaccinating account for 90% of the doses given More than 51 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been given around the world, according to an AFP count on Wednesday.
