The Nigerian House of Representatives Ad-hoc Committee on Fuel Consumption has begun investigating the volume of petroleum products being consumed in the country daily. There has been controversy over how much fuel Nigerians consume daily, with the payment of fuel subsidy expected to rise to N6.72 trillion in 2023. N4 trillion was budgeted for fuel subsidy in 2022.
