Chairman of Uruan Local Government Area, Iniobong Ekpenyong has denied claims that the suspect in the murder of a Job-Seeker who initially went missing before being found dead, Uduak Friday Akpan, confessed to him before escaping to Calabar as alleged by the police.
Akpan is a prime suspect in the murder of a 26-year-old graduate of the University of Uyo, Iniubong Umoren, who he lured with a job offer only to rape, kill and bury her in a shallow grave.

NEWS of the death of Iniobong Hiny Umoren, the lady who went missing during a job hunt in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, has generated outrage as Nigerians lamented the insecurity that had ravaged the country.
The mysterious disappearance of the lady had generated reactions, after she was reported missing on Twitter on Thursday, April 29.
On social media, the hashtag, #FindHinyHumoren, generated several retweets after her friend, Happiness, tweeting through @UmohUduak1, had reported her disappearance.
Umoren had reportedly told her friend, Happiness, that she was going for a job interview at Airport road, a distance from her house.
The lady reported that “to cut everything short, she sent me a one second audio record on WhatsApp and I had to call her back to know if she wanted to say something but immediately I called her, I heard her screaming. Someone, please help her out.”

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arrested a suspected fake recruiter, Uduak Akpan, for allegedly raping and killing a jobseeker, Iniubong Umoren, in the Airport Road area of Uyo.
It was gathered that Umoren had on Thursday gone for a job interview after Akpan allegedly lured her with a fake offer on social media.

UmohUduak1, alleged that she heard the victim screamed from a one-second voice note she sent, adding that efforts to reach her on the telephone proved abortive as her calls were not picked before the mobile phone became unreachable.

A young Akwa Ibom job seeker declared missing after leaving home for a job interview has been found dead and buried in a shallow grave.

The lady, Iniubong Umoren, was last seen on April 29 when she left her house to meet with a Twitter user who promised her a job. This gave rise to the hashtag #FindHinyHumoren where many aided attempts to find the missing graduate.
But on Sunday, Uduak Umoh, Umoren’s friend, broke the news of her death in an outcry on the microblogging platform. “They raped and killed my friend,” she wrote in a terse post.
Police authorities in Akwa Ibom have confirmed the killing of a young lady, Iniobong Umoren, while seeking employment in the state.
In a statement on Sunday, Odiko MacDon, noted that one Uduak Frank Akpan has been arrested by operatives of the Akwa Ibom State Police Command in connection with the incident.
He stated that the 20-year-old suspect was apprehended for kidnapping, raping, and murdering Miss Umoren.
On Tuesday last week, late Umoren shared a post on Twitter in which she said she needed a job to keep her mind and soul together.
But MacDon, a Superintendent of Police, explained that the command received a report on the disappearance of the victim three days after the tweet was posted.
