Minor injuries after Utica school bus collides with a car Several passengers were injured after a school bus and a car collided in Utica Friday afternoon. Posted: May 7, 2021 6:14 PM Updated: May 7, 2021 7:28 PM Posted By: WKTV UTICA, NY - Several passengers were injured after a school bus and a car collided in Utica Friday afternoon. The crash took place around 4:45 p.m. at the intersection of Arthur Street and Conkling Ave. Utica firefighters say of the eight passengers on the bus, three children and one adult suffered minor injuries. The students had to be transferred to a new bus. The passenger of the car, which was a Mercedes sedan, was also hurt. The driver of the car ran off before police arrived.

Utica Police have released the name of the victim in the Seymour Avenue homicide on Friday. Posted: May 7, 2021 1:25 PM Updated: May 7, 2021 7:25 PM Posted By: WKTV UTICA, N.Y. (UPDATE) - Utica Police have released the name of the victim in the Seymour Avenue homicide on Friday. 26 year old Lemeke Pittman of Utica was shot inside 1601 Seymour Avenue around 12:45 p.m. Police say Pittman was inside a building when another person entered and started shooting at him. Pittman was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center for treatment, but died from his injuries.  The suspect remains on the loose at this time, and Utica Police are looking for information about the incident. If anyone has any information they are asked to call UPD at 315-223-3556.
